Demand for Micro-Credentials
The ever-increasing digitisation of business and social processes brings increased exposure to cyber threats. Organisations in the public and private sectors are increasingly faced with the challenge of securing information systems and critical infrastructure. As a result, there is a growing need for professionals who understand modern cyber threats, can identify vulnerabilities and put in place effective security mechanisms. According to reports from a number of European institutions and think tanks, such as ENISA, the European Commission, the OECD, etc., almost all EU Member States are facing a severe shortage of adequately trained staff, which is a serious obstacle to ensuring digital security and resilience.
The micro-credential provides targeted upgrading of cybersecurity knowledge and skills, and contributes to increasing the preparedness and resilience of organisations to different types of cyber-attacks.
